Sports medicine specialist Christopher Betz, D.O., has joined the team of experts at Litchfield Hills Orthopedic Associates. As a sports medicine expert, Dr. Betz specializes in the latest surgical and nonsurgical solutions to bone, joint and muscle conditions related to sports injuries. He has nearly a decade of experience in caring for active individuals of all levels as well as advanced training in treating injuries caused by involvement in sports. Dr. Betz provides patients with successful treatment plans, both surgical and nonsurgical, customized to each individual. Dr. Betz completed his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, Pennsylvania. Dr. Betz continued his training with an internship and orthopedic surgery residency at Hofstra University, North Shore-LIJ Health System and Peninsula Hospital Consortium in Plainview, New York. He then completed a fellowship in orthopedic sports medicine at UMass Chan Medical School in Worcester, Massachusetts. He has served on the medical staff of multiple baseball teams, including the Bristol Blues, the Red Sox and the New Britain Bees.
