Litchfield Hills Orthopedic Associates will host a free pre-race running clinic on Wednesday, May 22, at 6:30 p.m., at their Torrington office, located at 245 Alvord Park Road. The clinic will offer training tips and strategies to prevent common injuries for race participants of the 43rd Annual Litchfield Hills Road Race. Specialty-trained podiatric surgeon Dr. Jennifer D’Amico, Lee Falk, P.T.A., and the rehabilitation staff of Litchfield Hills Orthopedic Associates will speak about running health and injury prevention topics and answer questions. Light refreshments will be served, and manual demonstrations will take place.

Topics discussed at the free pre-race running clinic will include:
 
–    How to remain injury-free.
–    Half marathon and marathon training tips.
–    How to train for hills.
–    Open forum question and answer on training, fueling, equipment, injuries and more.
