Orthopedic surgeon Frank J. Pompo, M.D., and podiatric foot and ankle surgeon Jennifer D’Amico, D.P.M., of Litchfield Hills Orthopedic Associates were recently granted surgical privileges at state-of-the-art local institution The Hospital of Central Connecticut. Dr. Pompo is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in joint replacement surgery and is one of the only surgeons providing joint replacement procedures at THOCC. He offers compassionate, experienced total joint care, including total knee and hip replacement, knee arthroscopy, joint injections and fracture care. Dr. Pompo is expertly trained, having earned his medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia before completing his residency in orthopedic surgery at The University of Toledo Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio.
As a fellowship-trained foot and ankle surgeon, Dr. D’Amico’s expertise includes a wide variety of advanced procedures to effectively diagnose and treat injuries and conditions of the lower extremity. Her areas of specialty include arthritis, flatfoot, fracture care, pediatric foot and ankle deformities, trauma and wound care. After receiving her doctor of podiatric medicine degree from New York College of Podiatric Medicine in New York City, Dr. D’Amico completed her residency at Scripps Mercy Hospital and Kaiser Foundation Hospital in San Diego. Dr. D’Amico also completed a fellowship in limb lengthening and reconstruction at The Rubin Institute for Advanced Orthopedics at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore.
THOCC is affiliated with the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services in general medicine and surgery.
