Fellowship-trained pain management specialist Bassem Abraham, M.D., has joined the team of experts at Litchfield Hills Orthopedic Associates. As an advanced, fellowship-trained pain management expert, Dr. Abraham specializes in the latest interventional solutions to bone, joint, muscle, spine and nerve-related pain. He has decades of experience in caring for patients from all walks of life and world-class training in interventional pain management. Providing care for over 24 years, Dr. Abraham utilizes all his years of experience as a doctor, a leader and a medical educator to develop the best possible treatment plan for every one of his patients, working closely with them to help reduce their pain, restore their function and reach their goals.

Dr. Abraham completed his anesthesiology residency at the internationally renowned Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Ohio. Later, Dr. Abraham furthered his training through an exclusive pain medicine fellowship at Pennsylvania State University in Hershey. Prior to joining Litchfield Hills Orthopedic Associates, he served patients and trained and mentored pain doctors at several renowned institutions, including as an assistant professor of clinical anesthesiology at Stony Brook University Hospital in New York and Emory University in Atlanta and as a chairman and the director of pain management at St. Louis VA Medical Center in Missouri. He is certified in anesthesiology and pain medicine through The American Board of Anesthesiology.
