Board-certified joint replacement surgeon Frank J. Pompo, M.D., and fellowship-trained podiatric surgeon Jennifer A. D’Amico, D.P.M., of Litchfield Hills Orthopedic Associates will be giving a community talk on Thursday, Jan. 30, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m., at The Hospital of Central Connecticut Family Health Center, located at 22 Pine St. Dr. Pompo and Dr. D’Amico will be addressing joint pain as well as the treatment options available to provide relief. A specialty-trained joint replacement surgeon, Dr. Pompo offers compassionate, experienced total joint care, including total knee and hip replacement, knee arthroscopy, joint injections and fracture care. Dr. Pompo is expertly trained, having earned his medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia before completing his residency in orthopedic surgery at The University of Toledo Medical Center in Ohio.
Dr. D’Amico is a fellowship-trained foot and ankle surgeon who specializes in the treatment of injuries and conditions of the lower extremity, including arthritis, flatfoot, fracture care, pediatric foot and ankle deformities, trauma and wound care. She received her medical degree from New York College of Podiatric Medicine in New York City and later completed her residency at Scripps Mercy Hospital and Kaiser Foundation Hospital in San Diego. Dr. D’Amico also completed a fellowship in limb lengthening and reconstruction at The Rubin Institute for Advanced Orthopedics at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore as well as a surgical trauma fellowship at Inselspital University in Bern, Switzerland.
