Medical appointments are scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. weekdays. Expanded hours are available for therapy appointments. Hours vary by provider.

Insurance
Litchfield Hills Orthopedic Associates participates with Medicare and most commercial and managed care insurance plans. For workers' compensation patients, we need to authorize treatment before the appointment. Co-payments are requested at the time of service.
Prescription Refills
It is the office policy not to fill prescriptions during evenings and weekends. We do not believe it is good patient care to fill a prescription if the provider does not know the patient or have the medical record at the time of the call.
Prescriptions should be called into the office during weekday office hours. Prescriptions called in after 3 p.m. will be processed the next business day. Please utilize the prescription refill option on our telephone system by calling 860-482-8539 and pressing "3".
Appointments
When you arrive for your appointment, please inquire whether your provider is on time. We sometimes run late due to emergencies seen in the office, surgery taking longer than expected, and patients who have fractures. If you have a time constraint and cannot wait much beyond your scheduled time, please let the receptionist know so your appointment can be rescheduled. We apologize for any inconvenience.
